Make room for laundry gear during use and when it is put away.

In a small home, a basket or drying rack can block a doorway or another task. Plan where each item will live after use as well as where it opens.
These four examples address different needs: a folding basket and bucket, a compact hanging arm and a removable line. A small hanging aid may not replace a full drying rack.
Mesh basket that folds when empty

The basket stands open with two top handles and folds smaller after it is emptied. The described open size is 30 × 30 cm at the base and 46 cm high.
Limitation: It folds only when empty; safe carrying capacity for heavy wet laundry was not verified.
Pull-out hanging arm

A clamp holds a short arm to a suitable edge; pull it out for a few hangers and retract it afterward. The described arm extends from 12.5 to 30 cm.
Limitation: It is not a full-load drying rack; do not improvise an unsafe attachment point.
Removable line with attached clips

An elastic line with hooks at both ends and 12 attached clips makes a temporary hanging spot between two stable points. Remove it after use.
Limitation: Neither a usable span nor a weight rating was verified; clip count is not a load rating.
Collapsible bucket

Open the sides before filling, then empty, dry and fold them for lower-height storage. Choose a 5 or 10 liter option; the sides fold down for lower-height storage.
Limitation: Capacity is not a safe carrying weight; hot water and detergent compatibility need confirmation.
Plan for the equipment when it is idle
Check dimensions both open and stored. If putting a folded item away requires emptying a whole shelf each time, folding alone will not solve the crowding.
