Solar wall light or floodlight for an outdoor path?

Daytime sun and nighttime light placement matter more than LED counts.

Some product links are affiliate links. We have not physically tested these items.

A lamp beside a step and a floodlight for a broad area address different needs. Mark where you need to see the ground or find a key, without shining into a neighbour’s window.

Check direct sunlight at the panel across seasons. We have not measured runtime, light output or performance after cloudy days.

Plan both the beam and the sensor

Near a door, light the working area. For a larger yard, check the floodlight’s direction. A sensor facing the road may trigger unnecessarily; a blocked sensor may miss someone.

The listing describes sensor modes and a remote. Consider it when light must cover a wider outdoor space.

Limitation: The advertised LED count cannot tell you the actual illumination in your yard.

Before orderingCheck panel orientation, weather protection, mounting, battery, modes and remote.

Place the light before choosing it

Mark a narrow passage for a wall light or a larger area for a directional floodlight. If the panel has no sunny position, consider another power source.
